Product Description

The program is designed to flow with a student’s natural development. The structure makes it safe, fun, structured and gives the student a real sense of accomplishment as they progress through each level.

The program is laid out in 8 stages, the first 2 are designed to outline the basics to ensure the students are safe and also gives them a foundation to start from. Let’s briefly go over each level…

Level 1: The Evaluation Stage (Proper stance, pushing, etc.) This level is often used to determine the student’s current level when entering the program, it also teaches the sheer basics and lets our students get familiar with their skateboards.

Level 2: Basics 101/The Prerequisite Stage (Basic ollie, ramp turns, etc.) It’s all about advanced basics here, after completing this level, students will begin to develop their own skateboarding style, however it will already begin to show as they complete this course.

Level 3-8: Beginner to Advanced Tricks (Street & ramp tricks) Here is where the program really opens up, levels 3-8 are split by natural development, and we’ve chosen tricks that students naturally learn. Each level is split by “street” or “ramp”, so students are not constricted to learn a particular path. These levels are simply guidelines, each student now earns credits for each trick listed. For every 8 tricks completed, they qualify to move forward in grades. In order to graduate a grade, each student is required to complete all of their new tricks within 5 minutes. Upon graduation of each level, the student will earn a graduation reward. Upon graduation of grade 8, they will have completed the program.

To build on the development of the program, we have added 3 additional sections to our program that each student can take home with them. Once this file is uploaded into our database, we can send this card home with the student with their profile, and add pointers, tips and tricks in our column on the right-hand side of the program…

Profile This identifies the student. We outline the students basic information including: Name, age, foot placement etc., We can also add an image to the sheet, once uploaded into our system. Board Legend Skateboarding is a visual sport, we use this board legend to help students understand proper foot placement and allow our students to visualize how to set up for current tricks as well as new ones. We add comments and suggestions that students can take home with them so that they can practice on their own time or better prepare for the next lesson. Notes This is where we write down comments, tips, tricks and suggestions to help the development of the student’s skateboarding. This piece is great to take home to practice on their own time or better prepare themselves for their next lesson.
